We spent the day wandering around town (including a visit to the Galway Museum to see some artifacts -- see photo of a 1000 year old piece of pottery below -- and learn about the city's long history), got a pint and watched people and then after yummy fish and chips...
we went to "Tunes in the Church" at St. Nicholas' church (700+years old) for some outstanding trad music.

Tomorrow we travel to Annascaul on the Dingle peninsula.
