Saturday 6/11 in Dublin

Today we got up and had a nice breakfast buffet at our hotel (O'Callaghan Stephen's Green Hotel) and went for a walk to check out the area. Our first stop was at Trinity College Dublin. There were lots of people waiting to get in and take the "official" tour.

We wandered a little and then found where Chris will be working for the next two weeks.

We figured we would have more time later (i.e., during a weekday) and hopefully fewer crowds to take the tour and see the Book of Kells.

From there we set off for the Temple Bar Markets where we had a delicious lunch of salad (Chris said "it was like eating flowers") and a "beef and guinness pie." Yum! (The "beef and guinness pie" is a staple in Ireland and is like a pot pie.)

On the walk back to our hotel we stopped at the Oliver St. John Gogerty Pub for a pint of their own Red Irish Ale and some live trad music.

We are hoping to hear from you to let us know that you are reading our blog.
